We can now reveal the line up of Chefs who will be judging the North West Young Chef Competition Heats for 2014.
As always, the line up will be chaired by Brian Mellor (Master chef of Great Britain) and Nigel Crane (Managing Director of Essential Cuisine.)
They will be joined by one chef in each heat which this year will include Claire Lara; the first woman to win Master chef the Professionals, Matt Nugent; Exec chef at Echo Arena and Conference Centre, Mark Fletcher; Head Chef at The Badger Inn, Mike Bullard; Head Chef at West Bromwich Albion FC, Paul Prescott; Executive Chef with Nelson Group and Steve Williams; Executive Chef at Stanley House Hotel and Spa.
The heat finalists will be invited to a master class with Aiden Byrne; the youngest ever chef to win a Michelin star.
The competition promises to once again discover more young talent across the North West, which newly incorporates Flintshire County for 2014, along with existing counties Lancashire, Greater Manchester, Cheshire, Cumbria, and Merseyside.
