Now in its fourth year, the Institute of Hospitality’s Passion 4 Hospitality (P4H) Student Careers Forum takes place on Monday 17 March 2014 at University College Birmingham.
This year’s event comprises the exciting live student debating competition, a contest to manage a virtual hotel business, and a careers forum packed with expert advice and information.
The programme starts with registration at 9.30am followed by a welcome from our chief executive Peter Ducker FIH and a keynote speech by Jason Smith, managing director of Yummy Jobs. Panel discussions plus a speed networking session follow throughout the day and the live debating final starts at 3.45pm.
Undergraduates becoming ‘the best of the best’
P4H is designed to propel and equip our industry undergraduates to become ‘the best of the best’ in readiness for employment. It provides a vital platform for employers to meet the ‘cream of the crop’ of hospitality students.
Nearly 90 colleges and universities are signed up to the Institute’s Education Membership Scheme, giving hospitality students and tutors access to unique resources and career support.
In brave displays of public speaking skills, quick wit and market knowledge, previous winners of the debating competition included teams from the University of West London, University of Brighton and HotelSchool The Hague. Who will pick up the prestigious trophy in 2014?
