Dream Capital Partnership, advised by Jenics, has let a 10,700 sq ft riverside restaurant in York to Cosmo Pan Asian and World Banqueting Dining Restaurant. Cosmo has signed a 15 year lease and is expected to undertake a £1.5 million fit out before opening in May 2014.
The unit, which is located alongside Piccolino and the Park Inn, has full riverside frontage and overlooks numerous operators on the Coney Street side of the river. Cosmo already has 14 restaurants throughout the UK (illustrations above and below of Cosmo Derby) and has four openings planned this year including York, Liverpool, Nottingham and Blackpool.
The opening of the York site follows closely on the back of Cosmo’s 11,000 sq ft outlet at Trinity Leeds and a 12,700 sq ft unit at the New Front leisure scheme also in Leeds city centre.
Cosmo is renowned for being ‘best in class‘ within the fixed price gourmet buffet restaurant market and will prove popular with those using the existing restaurant/leisure circuit in York, along with the city’s tourist trade.
