Independent research commissioned by The Restaurant Show confirms the success of the 2013 event from both a visitor and exhibitor perspective, and secures The Restaurant Show’s status as a ‘must-attend event’ in the restaurant, foodservice and hospitality industry calendar.
Legendary chef, Albert Roux, declared: “It’s a necessity to come to The Restaurant Show,” and it seems that he is not alone in this opinion.
28% exclusive visitors to Restaurant Show
In fact, over one quarter (28%) of visitors, representing all sectors and roles of the vibrant restaurant, foodservice and hospitality industry, were exclusive visitors, declaring The Restaurant Show 2013 the only industry event they chose to visit in 2013.
Of the thousands of visitors passing through the doors of London’s Earls Court 2 from 7-9 October 2013, an impressive 74% rated the show and their experience as excellent or good, with 85% confirming that they are likely to make a repeat visit in 2014.
Important for products and trends
The Restaurant Show 2013 promised an experience featuring a plethora of new and inspiring products and innovations, coupled with thought-provoking insight and debate. According to the show visitors, it didn’t disappoint. A solid 78% of visitors believe that the show is an excellent source for finding new products, and a similar proportion (77%) rate it as an important event for trend information.
Nearly two-thirds of visitors (63%) confirmed that their main driver for visiting the show was to learn about specific products. The Restaurant Show provided the perfect opportunity to interact with the people behind the products and visitors seized the opportunity to probe for information and physically see, touch, and in some cases try out, the products.
Exhibitor satisfaction
The exhibitors also benefitted from a successful and lucrative show, as demonstrated by the fact that a massive 81% have confirmed that they are likely to exhibit again at The Restaurant Show 2014.
Exhibitors were most impressed by the quality of visitors attracted by the show, with 72% rating it excellent or good, and 76% stating they saw visitors that they would not have seen elsewhere.
The Restaurant Show 2013 also proved the perfect choice for launching new products, with 94% expressing satisfaction with their product launches. As equipment supplier Unox stated: “It’s the best show within the industry. We’ve launched our new products and taken lots of orders, and made some great contacts.”
