New Restaurant Operations Director at Macdonald Hotels & Resorts

Macdonald Hotels & Resorts has today announced the appointment of Harwood Warrington as Restaurant Operations Director.

Harwood joins with the exciting role of further developing the restaurant concept and food product across the entire UK collection with a specific focus on strengthening and redefining the group’s Scottish Steak Club restaurant brand, enhancing the current restaurant proposition to maximise the guest experience and choice, and sourcing relevant third party operators to work in partnership with the brand.

Harwood brings with him over 27 years of industry experience, having worked with a host of restaurant and hospitality groups and hotels across the UK.

With over seven years working at director level, and demonstrable experience in leading nationwide operations, he was most recently Operations Director with The Lazy Cow Group for five years and has already, in his first few weeks, overseen the successful opening of a £1/2 million new Rocca restaurant at Macdonald Holyrood Hotel in Edinburgh.

Harwood commented: “Joining Macdonald Hotels & Resorts, at a time when the group is continuing to invest and grow its restaurant portfolio is a truly exciting prospect.

“I’m looking forward to working with a group that has such a strong ethos when it comes to food and drink. There’s an unwavering commitment to offering quality, wholesome dishes that are sourced with great attention to provenance, seasonality and fine flavour; these are very much values I share.

“Going forward we will be working on the Scottish Steak Club brand, developing the customer experience through design, product and service, and in the long term looking to add to our strong portfolio of accolades including over 40 AA Rosettes.”
