The Daily Mail reports that Gregg Wallace has been forced to close his restaurant Wallace and Co in Putney, London after poor trading and reviews, as well as selling its parent company Wallace Cafes.
It’s the latest setback in his ambitions to create a restaurant or ‘food’ group. As was widely reported at the time, Gregg’s Bar and Grill in London’s Bermondsey Square Hotel also closed last August.
And Wallace’s greengrocer operation – West Veg – is also in administration with reported debts of £500k.
For now, at least, it seems that media work will need to be the prime focus of his attention.
