Chefs wanting to put their kitchen skills to the test against the best talent in the business have just a few weeks to sign up for Hotelympia International Salon Culinaire – the world’s premier culinary competition.
The deadline for entries has now been extended to 7th February, giving hard working chefs more time to sign up to the updated programme of events. With not long to go, chefs need to act now to ensure they participate in the UK’s most comprehensive event for the hospitality industry.
World-class culinary event
Salon Culinaire Chef Director, James Tanner, said: “This is a world-class culinary event that really gives creative chefs a chance to show what they can do in a very competitive environment.

Salon Culinaire
Salon Culinaire includes Live Theatre classes, fine dining experience, La Parade de Chefs, and Salon Display – showcasing hand-crafted works in fat, chocolate, marzipan and other foodstuffs.
The event has been updated in response to feedback from a dedicated chef panel including Chris Galvin, Steve Munkley, Simon Hulstone, Cyrus Todiwala and Nick Vadis. Improvements include a new online entry system, a clearer judging process, the use of iPads for food photography and the introduction of a feedback corner with judges on hand to offer advice.
For the first time, display entries will be positioned down the central aisle – giving all show visitors the chance to view them. There will also be two award ceremonies every day – a new one after lunchtime in addition to the traditional presentation at the end of the day – with both being staged in a new, dedicated area.
