Kensington’s Hotel Xenia has appointed Giacomo Battafarano as new General Manager of the 99-roomed design-led boutique hotel which opened in 2013 in Kensington.
Formerly at Hotel Imperiale Taormina in Sicily for the past five years, overseeing its extensive refurbishment and relaunch, Giacomo now brings his broad international experience to Hotel Xenia. His career in the hospitality industry has seen him work in a wide variety of destinations including – in addition to Italy – the UK, Portugal, the Maldives and Egypt, and for companies such as Starwood Hotels & Resorts, Le Méridien Hotels & Resorts, and Exclusive Hotel Collection.
In his new role as General Manager of Hotel Xenia, Giacomo will be focusing on the core values of this property – whose name means hospitality in Greek. He will be aiming for the hotel to become known for its tailored service and ensuring every guest, whether visiting for a meal at the hotel’s Evoluzione restaurant, having a drink in The Living Wall Bar or staying at Hotel Xenia, enjoys every moment of their visit.
