It is widely reported that the two American hospitality groups Hilton Worldwide and Aramark – both with significant operations in the UK – are planning initial public offerings (IPOs) on the New York Stock Exchange in 2014.
Hilton Worldwide announced plans to raise up to $2.37 billion, valuing the company at over $20 billion. Hilton is owned by Blackstone.
Aramark aims to raise $833.8 million, valuing it at about $5.3 billion. It is currently owned by Warburg,
Goldman’s GS Capital Partners and JP Morgan Partners, and employs 12,500 in the UK.
