Elior UK, caterer at the home of Scottish rugby, Murrayfield, has won the coveted Eat Safe Award for its first class food safety.
Operating under the name ‘Murrayfield Experience’, Elior manages all the on-site catering from 13 kitchens, for up to 4,000 customers across 28 rooms on a match day. It also operates a growing conference facility.
The Eat Safe Award is an incentive launched by the Food Standards Agency to encourage caterers to achieve outstanding levels of food hygiene and food safety management. Only those deemed to be of an exceptional standard are presented with this prestigious award.
James Nicholson, site director, Elior UK, says: “It’s great to gain recognition for the team’s hard work over the last two years. We’ve completely rethought our approach to food and drink at the stadium.
“In addition to our exceptional hygiene standards, the environmental health officer commented very positively on the quality of food we offer. Murrayfield is renowned for hosting one of the best match day experiences the country has to offer.”
