wagamama, the japanese-inspired restaurant, has announced two new sites in Maidstone and Derby to the group’s UK-wide portfolio. The new openings mean that wagamama now operates over 100 restaurants across the UK, with further expansion plans in the pipeline for 2014.
wagamama’s new restaurant in Derby is located in the city’s Westfield Derby Shopping Centre, which is home to over 230 stores. The new site, which has capacity for 102 people, is the first wagamama restaurant in the city and has created 40 new jobs for the local area.
The chain also announced its first restaurant in Maidstone, the fourth wagamama site in Kent. The new restaurant, which is situated close to the centre of Maidstone town centre, has also provided 40 new jobs for the town and has capacity for 107 people to dine at any one time.
