United Coffee unveils new premium coffee brand

By James Russell: United Coffee unveils new premium coffee brand

November 13, 2013

United Coffee UK & Ireland has launched its new THREESIXTY˚ brand into the out of home market, adding three adventurous coffees to its market-leading portfolio. Made up of two blends – Blend Number One and Rainforest Blend – and a single-origin Ipanema Yellow Bourbon, the range offers a premium taste experience.

Coffee beans’ origin on the packaging

THREESIXTY˚ takes consumers’ curiosity over provenance to a new level with each individual coffee displaying the coordinates of the coffee beans’ origin on its packaging. The coordinates can be typed into Google Earth, or looked up on a world map, to show the coffee’s country of origin, providing consumers with a unique ‘sense of discovery’ experience.

Elaine Higginson, managing director, United Coffee UK & Ireland comments: “We developed the THREESIXTY˚ brand in response to consumers becoming even more interested in the story and journey of their food and drink – including coffee. The brand is a fun, bold and exotic addition to our range, and the coordinates on the packaging gives the consumer something a bit different than simply stating the origin.”

Take customers on the crop-to-cup journey

The beans used in the range are sourced seasonally and artisanally slow roasted to produce a complex and unique taste for each coffee. Each coffee is available in 10 x 500g bag sizes. THREESIXTY˚ is perfect for operators who want to take their consumers on the crop-to-cup journey, while also delivering a fantastic quality espresso.”

You can try it for yourself – type the coordinates of the Ipanema Yellow Bourbon (22˚ 03’ 41” S 45˚ 14’ 31” W) into Google Earth…

The launch of THREESIXTY˚ features in United Coffee’s refreshed range of 13 coffees, which focuses on providing exceptional quality to customers. The range also includes its popular retail brand, Lyons coffee, which has newly launched in the out of home market and established brands GrandCru, Grand Café and Coopers.
