Ibérica Restaurants has confirmed the opening of a new site in London’s Victoria in May 2015 as part of their ambitious expansion plans. Located in the Zig Zag Building on Victoria Street, Ibérica Victoria will become an integral part of this highly anticipated redevelopment.
Victoria will be the fourth site opening for the Ibérica portfolio, overseen by Director of Ibérica Restaurants Marcos Fernández Pardo who says, “The success of 2013 across our existing portfolio and the subsequent cash generative state of the business has allowed us to take the next major step in Ibérica’s development”.
Brand expansion at Victoria
Jason Grant, Director at Restaurant Property and Ibérica retained exclusive agent, worked on behalf of Ibérica to secure the site and sees this opening as an important growth accelerator for the brand, recognising the ‘huge potential of this location to transform London’s view of Victoria.’
The Ibérica Story
Ibérica opened its first site in Marylebone in 2008 with Marcos Fernández Pardo as co-founder and Director, taking the helm as Managing Director in 2011. This new appointment saw the company double its net operating income (EBITDA) within the year. Fernández Pardo focused on improving team culture, establishing administrative and management structures and implementing systems to support growth.
With a newly cash generative business, the company went on to secure its second restaurant in Canary Wharf, which opened in 2011, followed by the acquisition and fit out of an outdoor restaurant, Ibérica La Terraza, in Canary Wharf’s Cabot Square in 2013.
