Stoneleigh Park Lodge, set in the grounds of Stoneleigh Park, is having new environmentally-friendly showerheads installed in the en-suite bathrooms of its 58 bedrooms.
The showerheads are being supplied by renewable energy specialist Integr8, also based at Stoneleigh Park, and are designed to reduce water consumption and heating costs as well as ensuring a constant flow of hot water at peak times.
Up to 70% less water use
The innovative technology is based on air being injected into the waterflow which results in up to 70 per cent less water being used as each drop is plumped with oxygen.
Stoneleigh Park Lodge can therefore expect to benefit from significant savings in water and heating, as well as maintenance costs due to the showerheads being coated in a protective resin which combats the build-up of mineral deposits.

The showerheads are aimed at the commercial market with higher shower usage such as hotels, gyms, health clubs and leisure centres.
They are among the latest additions to Integr8’s range of energy saving products as the company diversifies from its core business of solar panels, ground and air source heat pumps.
Less water = less heating
Philip Chapman, general manager at Integr8, said: “Where there is a high number of people wanting to have a shower at the same time, it can put pressure on the heating system, but if you are using less water, then you have to heat less water so it is a double cost saving.
“Rather than potentially having to spend thousands of pounds on a new boiler to cope with the heating demand, these showerheads can be fitted at a fraction of the cost and save money on heating as well as reducing water consumption.
