By James Russell: Nespresso now coffee supplier to over 32 of UK’s top restaurants

November 25, 2013

Nespresso UK’s business to business unit has announced four new restaurant partnerships with some of the UK’s most highly regarded restaurants – all recipients of coveted Michelin stars – demonstrating Nespresso’s position as a true business partner in delivering high quality coffee experience to today’s most prestigious restaurants.

New partnerships include:

  • Bo London – *Michelin star; London (Mayfair)
  • Adam’s – *Michelin star; Birmingham
  • Wild Honey – *Michelin star; London (Mayfair)
  • Arbutus – *Michelin star; London (Soho)

Coffee supplier to 32 Michelin starred restaurants in the UK

Following announcements in the HORECA sector earlier this year, including agreements with Brasserie Chavot and the prestigious Relais & Châteaux, Nespresso continues to expand its reach in 2013. Nespresso has become the official coffee supplier to 32 Michelin starred restaurants in the UK, 15 international luxury hotel chains and 25 major airlines. Such growth demonstrates an increased demand for gourmet coffee in the UK, as more and more businesses seek to offer a high-quality coffee experience to customers.

8 ‘Grand Crus’ for restaurant customers

Nespresso has created eight Grands Crus coffee blends specially for its restaurant and business customers. Each Nespresso Grand Cru offers unique aromatic notes to meet individual taste preferences and each of the eight Grand Cru coffees have distinct aromas, tastes and levels of intensity.

“Given that Nespresso has a singular focus on delivering excellence and creating an ultimate coffee experience for customers – from bean to cup – our partnership with them was a clear match,” states Will Smith from Arbutus Restaurant, Wild Honey Restaurant and Les Deux Salons.  “Nespresso can genuinely meet the standard we set for our food and service – the coffee is exceptional and we are sure to consistently deliver a high-quality experience to our customers.”

Deepening chef and sommelier knowledge

Building deeper into these coveted partnerships and catering to the UK’s growing interest in gastronomy, Nespresso has also worked with two-Michelin-starred chef Phil Howard, Head Chef and Co-owner of The Square in Mayfair, to create a series of recipes inspired by Nespresso quality Grands Crus. Through unique programs such as the Nespresso Coffee Sommelier Program, Nespresso Chef Academy and Nespresso Chef Academy, Nespresso is leading the way to help the world’s leading chefs and sommeliers to deepen their knowledge of coffee and the important role of coffee within the overall dining experience.
