Dominvs Hospitality, the Hospitality arm of the Dominvs Group, has successfully acquired a key hotel site in Aberdeen, the “Oil Capital of Europe”. The £30m acquisition and development forms part of the Groups planned expansion of strategically located branded hotels in key UK cities.
The two adjoining hotels will total 251-bedrooms and will be built on the 4 acre plus site in the heart of the Aberdeen International Airport. “The Aberdeen market has been in our sights since our company’s inception” says Preet Ahluwalia, Director of Dominvs Hospitality. “The location, size and potential of this site could not be more ideal; we as a company cannot wait to begin work on this project.”
The hotels will be located adjacent to Aberdeen International Airport, which offers flights to 48 national and international destinations connecting with key international hubs at Heathrow, Amsterdam and Paris. “Aberdeen is a leading business hub and one of eight ‘super cities’ spearheading the UK’s economy,” says Preet Ahluwalia, Director of Dominvs Hospitality. “Our 112 bedroom 3-star and 139 bedroom 4-star hotels will be the fresh new answer the thriving Aberdeen market is calling out for.”
The Aberdeen Airport master plan forecasts passenger traffic of five million people by 2040 and an additional 1,100 jobs to be created by 2030. Over £10 million has been invested in the airport over the last few years, with a further £5m earmarked to be spent in 2014/2015.
The Aberdeen site is due to be launched to the public in early late 2016, marking the 6th purchase for Dominvs Hospitality since their inception in 2012.
