Lend Lease has announced that Theobroma, the Australian chocolate café brand, has chosen Touchwood for its first chocolate lounge in the UK. In addition, Chimichanga will also be opening its first restaurant in the West Midlands.
Theobroma was founded in Australia and has franchises in Saudi Arabia, Singapore and China. The company is also expanding in Australia, New Zealand and Malaysia. Its chocolate lounge at Touchwood is its first in both the UK and continental Europe.
Commenting on the latest additions to Touchwood’s dining offer, Guy Thomas, Head of Retail Leasing at Lend Lease, said: “Theobroma and Chimichanga are exciting concepts that bring something different to Touchwood’s dining experience, which is varied and of high quality. Combined with the aspirational retail mix, Touchwood has an unrivalled day-out offer with significant regional appeal.”
The addition of Theobroma and Chimichanga follows a number of enhancements to Touchwood’s dining offer. Theobroma and Chimichanga join a range of brands, such as Ask, Giraffe and Coast-to-Coast, to create a critical mass of dining that complements Touchwood’s Cineworld cinema and adjacent Solihull Arts Complex, which includes a key regional theatre. Touchwood has a total of 21 bars, cafés and restaurants.
