Staff from Orchid Group’s All Inns pubs are stepping into the limelight this autumn/winter to showcase the new seasonal menu which uses a series of initiatives that shout about their personalities and their pubs – they can even be found modelling on the front of the new menus!
From their own personal recommendations in the pubs to videos on Facebook talking about their favourite new dish, Orchid’s staff are going above and beyond to help customers discover their favourite dishes from the new menu.
Demonstrating the warm, friendly atmosphere
“Our pubs are not just about great value food and drink – what really makes them special is the warm, friendly atmosphere which gives our customers a great experience, and we want to demonstrate that at every opportunity,” explains Care Schuler, Marketing Executive for All Inns.
“People are at the heart of what we do at Orchid, so getting our staff to showcase the new menu and talk about it in a way that suits their character and personality is the very best way of highlighting the great food and also the great service.”
My favourite dish
The promotional campaign for the new menu is called My Favourite Dish and encompasses several elements in pubs and on their social media sites.
- at work, staff will wear a sticker on which they write their favourite dish, helping to encourage customer engagement and create an additional talking point.
- Staff will also make their own short videos to be posted on Facebook where they will describe their favourite dish. Customers can go on to the pub page to guess the dish for the chance to win prizes.
- As the final part of the campaign, a poll will be held for customers to vote for their new favourite dish, with several prizes up for grabs.

“Many of our pubs have thriving Facebook pages so this campaign will encourage further interactions between staff and customers,” adds Jo Probert, Head of All Inns.
“Word of mouth is so important in our business, and we believe that getting our customers to engage with us on Facebook will generate excitement, and will boost our business and gain many more happy customers.”
New menu from 22 October
The new autumn/winter menu will include:
- Mega Dishes – 2 Foot Tikka, Mighty Meaty Combo, Mega Breakfast Burger for those with hearty appetites and anyone who wants a food challenge.
- Favourite winter warmers – Such as Ham and Suet Pudding and Cherry Bakewell Sponge.
- Inn The Dog House – Brand new pork hot dogs with a variety of toppings. The classic American retro dish.
- Mojito Cheesecake – Lime and white rum dessert that is bang on the cocktail trend.
- New twists and versions of customer and staff favourites across the sharing platters, main meals, grill, burgers and curry corner sections of the menu.
