New look Pullman Paris Bercy Hotel – Old Churches House for Dunblane “the brand”- Cinnamon Kitchen goes Mobile with the launch of ‘Joho Soho’ – itsu arrives in Oxford – Il Sugo launches with sizzling selection of Stuzzichini.

New look Pullman Paris Bercy Hotel

Pullman has unveiled the new look Pullman Paris Bercy hotel following a six-month renovation project.

The hotel, located in the heart of a Paris neighborhood that features both a business district and a village atmosphere, offers the best of the Pullman experience. Its restaurant, “L’Esprit du 12ème”, which has been entirely redesigned, and its bar, are among East Paris’ favourite hot spots for business gatherings and relaxing get-togethers.

Architecture and design firm JOI Design oversaw the renovation of its rooms and suites, while its public areas and restaurant were redesigned by interior designers Designsquared.

Old Churches House for Dunblane “the brand”

The Fusion Group, has launched a new small hotel, restaurant and meetings and events venue in Dunblane: Old Churches House. It is a sympathetic redevelopment of the former Scottish Churches House, an ecumenical centre which was a meeting place for generations of Scottish Christians. Situated just over the road from Dunblane Cathedral, the eleven bedroom hotel with its 60 seater Dining Room; separate tearoom; outside terrace; 17th Century Chapel and several event rooms is, according to Fusion Group Managing Director Alex McKie, in a prime position to capitalise on “the brand” which is Dunblane.

Quirky character and history

“There is nothing quite like Old Churches House in Dunblane,” said Alex McKie. “We have retained its quirky character and history with a homely, understated approach which will appeal to locals and our visitors alike.  Coupled with other developments in the area, including the new Cromlix House, and the renewed popularity Dunblane has seen since Andy Murray’s successes and the presence of the golden postbox, the town has a real buzz about it and has never been busier. We are expecting to bring 4000 hotel guests to the area with around 12,000 people visiting our restaurant.”

“We are bringing all our Fusion Group experience in running venues to the fore here at Old Churches House. We have built up a successful wedding venue from a standing start at Carphin By St Andrews – another Scottish Town with brand appeal – and expect to do the same here at Old Churches House with our 17th Century Chapel offering an extremely unique and charming location.”

Self catering accommodation will be added to the Old Churches House portfolio next year.

Cinnamon Kitchen goes Mobile with the launch of ‘Joho Soho’

Cinnamon Kitchen is getting muddy and going mobile by bringing its award-winning modern Indian fare to festivals across the country.

Going by the name of Joho Soho, Vivek Singh’s smart eatery is donning its carefree, daisy-chained festival attire and offering signature street food at music events, food fairs, fashion get-togethers and literary hubs everywhere.

Shabby-chic

Served from a shabby-chic stand – an Anglo-Indian mish-mash of wood, neon and in-your-face colour – Joho Soho will see an Indian invasion across the land, bringing much-needed glamour to on-the-go gourmet goodies. Heading up operations as the face of Joho Soho will be Cinnamon Kitchen’s head chef, Abdul Yaseen.

The show must always go on when it comes to flavoursome festival food. Although menus are tailored to each festival and event, inspiring items can include twisted takes on British comfort food classics like the signature Slow-Roasted Pulled Lamb on Fresh Naan Bread; Bhangra Burger; Masala Fish & Chips; and oversized Kingly Seekh Kebabs cooked on sticks at the portable tandoor grill.

The Indian-inspired BALLS! – including the likes of potato bondas, beef shammi and crab cakes – are a tasty tongue-in-cheek treat and deserving of their inclusion in Time Out’s 100 Best dishes in London 2012. Spice and all things nice, Joho Soho’s festival fare uses fresh, seasonal ingredients and Vivek’s famous creativity to deliver restaurant quality on-the-move.

Also available for private bookings – from corporate parties and launches to birthdays to barmitzvahs.

Italian Restaurant Il Sugo launches with sizzling selection of Stuzzichini

Il Sugo has opened in the heart of London’s Camden  with a delectable menu of authentic Italian dishes with a modern twist including a selection of delicious Stuzzichini (Italian tapas) to make mouths water.

The idea of sharing dishes is an extremely popular trend and one that makes Il Sugo the perfect destination for dinner and drinks with friends and family. The perfect after work snack and light bite, Stuzzichini are like the Italian version of tapas – small, bite sized dishes that can be shared with friends.

Maria, the manager at Il Sugo said, “Our menu is designed to give visitors a taste of authentic Italian dishes with a mouth watering modern twist. The Stuzzichini revolution means groups can get stuck into a huge range of sharing dishes and mini dishes to take a culinary journey throughout Italy that makes taste buds tingle. Our highly experienced chefs use a fusion of fresh ingredients to deliver a vibrant explosion of flavours in every dish.”

As well as the sharing menu, Il Sugo also has a wide range of authentic Italian main courses and starters.

Il Sugo embodies a vibrant Italian dining experience. The décor is modern yet inviting, with stylish gas pipe lighting and artwork on the walls by prolific street artists Sly Juan, whose work has been compared to Banksy and has been displayed in the prestigious Saatchi Gallery.
