Dominvs Hospitality, the Hospitality arm of the Dominvs Group, announced today their submission for planning at their ex-Employment Exchange site in Manchester City Centre. The acquisition and development forms part of the Group’s planned expansion of strategically located branded hotels in key UK cities.
The site will be developed into a 308 Bedroom, 4-Star hotel complete with restaurant and conference facilities, occupying a prime position as part of the highly successful and recently completed 250,000sqft mixed use Piccadilly Regeneration Project.
The hotel is situated adjacent to Piccadilly Station, the city’s foremost intercity rail and tram terminal, and more recently the subject of a £50m station refurbishment. It is also planned to be the North West terminal for the new HS2 high speed train to London, Birmingham and Leeds.
“Our company primarily focuses primarily on Residential, Commercial and Industrial property opportunities, but the appeal to restore and revive life to such a historical and topical site was far too appealing to overlook,” says Preet Ahluwalia, Director of Dominvs Hospitality.
“As a group, we moved into the hospitality sector in April of 2012 with the initial acquisition of the Hotelier Group, a collection of 3 hotels operating in the Sheffield, Darlington and Dumfries areas.”
The Manchester site is due to be launched to the public in late 2015.
