Dennis Hogan has been appointed Managing Director for Compass Group UK & Ireland, effective from 1 January 2014, replacing Ian Sarson who is moving to a new role as Director of Healthcare & Senior Living for Compass Group in Europe & Japan. Both Ian and Dennis will report directly to Andrew Martin, Compass Group Chief Operating Officer, Europe & Japan.
Dennis has been with Compass for 17 years and joins the UK & Ireland business from Compass Group North America, where he has been running a number of Compass businesses very successfully.
The creation of Ian’s new role underlines Compass’ commitment to the healthcare and seniors market, where considerable opportunities are seen. Ian will help to shape strategy and implement best practice across the region, helping to unlock significant growth potential.
About Dennis Hogan
In February 2009, Dennis Hogan was appointed CEO, Canteen Vending Services, Compass Group North America. Prior to this appointment, Dennis Hogan held the position of Senior Vice President of Finance, and was acting Chief Financial Officer from 2002 to 2003. He joined Compass Group in 1996 as a senior manager of strategic planning.
Prior to joining Compass Group, Hogan was the CFO for a retail start-up venture in Washington, DC. Additionally, Hogan has worked in strategic planning and product management for MCI Telecommunications and Digital Equipment Corporation.
