Claire Jones has joined The Raithwaite Estate as Estate Hotel Manager. The Estate, a member of Small Luxury Hotels of the World and managed by Luxury Hotel Partners, is set within 100 acres of breathtaking countryside and sweeping gardens in a dramatic position near Whitby on the North Yorkshire Coast.

Claire was previously General Manager for Contessa Hotels, which operates two luxury boutique hotels in the Wirral area of Merseyside, The Hillbark Hotel and Spa and The Leverhulme Hotel.
Claire was responsible for both of Contessa’s luxury properties and therefore accustomed to delivering high standards and impeccable service. During Claire’s tenure as General Manager, Hillbark Hotel was awarded an impressive 5 stars by the AA, becoming the smallest 5 star hotel in the UK and the first and only 5 star hotel in the Liverpool City region. Hillbark’s fine dining restaurant was also awarded 3 Rosettes during this period.
Prior to this Claire gained a wealth of experience in both the luxury boutique hotel market and within the public sector. A graduate of Manchester University, Claire is originally from Saddleworth on the Yorkshire border.
