Tim Flodin has been appointed the new General Manager of London’s five-star boutique hotel, Andaz Liverpool Street, with effect from September 2013. Flodin, who has had a distinguished career with Hyatt Hotels & Resorts since 1984, has worked at multiple Hyatt properties in America but most recently held the position of GM at the Hyatt Regency Birmingham.
Andaz Liverpool Street’s former General Manager, Arnaud de Saint-Exupéry, who managed Hyatt’s premier Andaz hotel since Andaz Liverpool Street first opened its doors in 2007, leaves London’s East End and heads to Tokyo as the opening GM for the new Andaz Tokyo slated to open in Spring 2014.
Although no stranger to Hyatt Hotels & Resorts, Flodin’s new position marks his first time managing an Andaz property. With extensive global travel and knowledge of the luxury, corporate, group, and leisure markets, Flodin brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to grow brand loyalty with Andaz Liverpool Street hotel’s existing and future clients.
Flodin began his Hyatt tenure at the Hyatt Regency Woodfield as a Front Office Agent in 1984 and over the years he has held various positions within the Rooms Division at Hyatt Regency Sacramento, Hyatt Regency San Francisco Airport, Hyatt Regency Lake Tahoe Resort & Casino, Hyatt Regency Lexington, Hyatt Regency Denver and Hyatt Regency San Diego. Following San Diego, Tim was appointed General Manager of Hyatt West Hollywood (now Andaz West Hollywood), followed by assignments in Hyatt Westlake Plaza and since September 2008 at Hyatt Regency Birmingham.
