Patisserie Valerie launches flagship BYO brasserie

By James Russell: Patisserie Valerie launches flagship BYO brasserie

September 6, 2013

High street cafe chain Patisserie Valerie is set to launch its first Bring-your-own brasserie on West Nile Street in Glasgow. The 80 seat ‘BYO’ brasserie is the first of the company’s new concept stores to launch and will simply be known as Valeries.

Evening diners can expect new and carefully selected 2 and 3 course menus which will be available from 12pm to 11pm each evening, Monday to Saturday.

No corkage fee

However, unlike other bring-your-own restaurants, diners who bring their own wine and alcoholic beverages to consume during their meal in the brasserie will not be charged a corkage fee.

Traditionally, many restaurants charge a corkage fee per bottle to customers who wish to supply their own wine. The new Valeries brasserie has decided to waive the corkage fee insisting that helping customers to serve their drinks is all part of the service.

By day the brasserie will offer an extensive menu including continental breakfast, lunch and high teas with a tempting range of traditional patisserie and finest teas and coffees.

Paul May, CEO at Patisserie Valerie said: “Our mission for the last 12 months has been to find the perfect location to unveil our new concept brasserie and we are delighted to have found it in Glasgow.

“The Bring-your-own brasserie concept is an organic progression for the Patisserie Valerie brand and comes as a result of customer feedback and consumer demand.”
