By James Russell: Google’s new HQ will need catering, food and coffee services…

September 9, 2013

Google has been granted planning permission for a new one million square foot HQ in London.

The building house up to 5,000 members of staff and will be located at the 2.4 acre King’s Cross Central site next to King’s Cross Station.

There will be as many as 16 food, drink and shopping outlets within the development on the ground floor. There are also plans for a staff café, multi use games area, gym and wellness facilities, an audio visual studio, auditorium and events centre and staff training centres. In addition, a cycling track on the roof as well as swimming pool are planned.

The key question: who will win the race to provide catering services, food and coffee outlets? Watch this space…
