De Vere has completed the deal on a long leasehold development site in Aberdeen, marking the next step for the launch of Village Urban Resorts in Scotland.
Village Urban Resorts are already to be found in 25 different locations across the UK including: Birmingham, Bournemouth, Blackpool, Cardiff, Chester, Coventry, Farnborough, Hull, Leeds, Liverpool, London, Maidstone, Manchester, Newcastle, Nottingham, Solihull, Swansea, Swindon, Warrington and Wirral
Work has commenced on the 100,000-plus square foot site, set in the Prime Four Business Park, and the hotel is expected to open for business in November 2014. Village Urban Resort Aberdeen will not only provide hotel accommodation for visitors to the city, but also a state of the art health and fitness club for business users, leisure travellers and the local community.
The Aberdeen development will have 148 spacious design-led guest rooms with stylish furniture, flat screen televisions and free Wi-Fi throughout – 48 of which will be superior UpperDeck rooms complete with SkyMovies HD, Bose speaker docks and Sealy SweetDreams beds.
The Village Urban Resort will also include a Velocity health and fitness club providing state-of-the art gym equipment, cardio fitness, resistance training and studio classes for all the family, as well as a 20m swimming pool, whirlpool spa, sauna, steam room and Viva Urban Spa offering a range of beauty and relaxation treatments. Eating and drinking facilities will include a Victory Chop and Ale House, and Starbucks Coffee shop.
