The Zaks chain of authentic American diners, which launched in Norfolk almost 40 years ago, has revealed plans to extend its reach cross country by launching a franchise scheme.

 

Zaks diners capture the taste of authentic America through the food, experience and the environment, and currently has three Norfolk residing restaurants: Zaks Waterside Grill and Bar, Zaks Mousehold Diner and Zaks Poringland Diner.

Plans to open 30 franchise diners

Announcing its plans to open 30 franchise diners in the next five years, the local brand is keen to share its ethos for ‘customer love’ with new neighbourhoods.

“We believe we have a winning formula of a great brand with a great team supporting it and this gives us a real opportunity to replicate our current success but on a national scale,” said Ian Hacon, Chief Executive Officer. “We’re looking for likeminded franchisees, who share our vision and enthusiasm for the brand and want to bring the authentic American dining experience to their neighbourhood.”

It is all about the Burger at Zaks, made with 100 per cent beef and no additives the burger can be served in over 20 different ways not including how it is cooked.” Whilst it is all about the burgers we also serve a wide range of authentic American dishes from baby back ribs to a southern fried chicken dinner! Our hot sauce is hot and our sour cream is cool!” said Chris Carr, Chief Operating Officer. Chris also added “We also have lots of options for vegetarians and a freshly cooked junior menu”.

The franchising opportunity

Having invested heavily in the franchising opportunity, the Zaks team will make sure its franchisees are dedicated to the brand by enlisting them in their Academy which is an intensive tailored training course.
