It’s been a bumper year for Las Iguanas: having already been recognised as one of the Sunday Times 100 Best Companies to Work for 2013, and securing the Investors in People Gold Award at the end of 2012, Las Iguanas have now picked up a TripAdvisor® Certificate of Excellence award for 17 of their branches across the UK, two thirds of those eligible.
In addition, Peach BrandTrack, which provides consumer ratings for the UK eating and drinking out market, has crowned Las Iguanas the ‘kings of cool’ in their latest report.
Eren Ali, Founder and Managing Director commented:
“Over the last 4 years we have set out to reinvigorate the brand and the results of this work are really proving a big hit with our guests. We have worked our socks off to deliver the best guest experience to be had on the high street and all this recognition just makes us even more determined to keep upping our game.”
More branches
Not content with accepting awards and praise, they are busy expanding: Las Iguanas now has 29 branches and opens in Cheshire Oaks later this month, with Wembley City opening in October, and a further four branches in the pipeline for this financial year.
Menu initiatives
And, like any good hospitality organisation, Las Iguanas is always busy refining its menu and introducing new dishes.
There are now over 30 sauces and salsas on the menu, all made fresh each day. Big successes for Summer have included the Henriqe Rapadura, sticky cane sugar lamb with guajillo chilli and star anise, and Cuban-spiced beetroot & onion salad, and – at the other end of the spectrum – the new veggie Bean and Beet Burger has been a hit.
And for the second half of 2013?
In addition to the new branches, the development kitchen in Bristol has been hard at work trialling exciting new dishes – ready to be launched with the Autumn menu in September.
We’ll wait and see what Awards are presented…
