The Daily Telegraph reports that James Caan is interested in the little Chef Restaurant group, which has been put up for sale by owners RCapital.
It was recently reported that most interest in Little Chef has so far been shown by high street brands like Costa Coffee and McDonalds. The inevitable result of a purchase by one of these would be the disappearance of the Little Chef brand.
In the event that James Caan did acquire Little Chef, it is thought that he would continue to operate some at least of the UK restaurants, as well as looking to expand into the Middle East.
It seems that Little Chef is not going to quietly disappear from the UK’s A roads!
