Menzies Irvine has been recognised with the award of Accommodation Provider of the Year – Individual Hotels, at the annual Coach Tourism Awards held last night in Liverpool. Menzies Hotels was also celebrating being a finalist in the categories for Accommodation Provider of the Year – Group Hotels, and Accommodation Provider of the Year – Individual Hotels for Menzies Swindon.
National awards scheme
The national awards scheme, organised by trade magazine Coach Monthly and hosted by television presenter and travel and tourism expert Judith Chalmers, recognises excellence and innovation across the coach tourism industry and includes industry suppliers, coach tour operators, tourist destinations and attractions.
The award for Accommodation Provider of the Year – Individual Hotels recognises an individual hotel that demonstrates a commitment to welcoming coaches, coach groups and coach drivers.
Tracey Ractliffe, Sales Director Menzies Hotels, collected the award in front of more than 450 tourism industry professionals. Commenting on the company’s success, Tracey said, ‘’It is great to see the hard work from the team at the Menzies Irvine being recognised. In common with all Menzies Hotels, everyone at the hotel goes out of their way to make sure that every guest receives a warm welcome, delivers great customer service and build an excellent reputation among operators.’’
This award follows the hotel’s success at the Scottish Hotel Awards in April where Menzies Irvine won both Hospitality Team of the Year and hotel manager Tuathal Breheny received a gold medal in the management category.
