Seasoned Events, part of the Crown Group, delivered event catering for two events as part of the European Society for Paediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition (ESPGHAN) annual general meeting.
The ESPGHAN conference drew a delegation of over 4000 international guests, making it their biggest ever event.
In addition to the main conference, 150 guests attended the members’ dinner at the Cutty Sark on Friday and 900 attended the sell-out conference gala dinner at Old Billingsgate, London, on Saturday.
Cutty Sark Dinner
The members’ dinner at the Cutty Sark on Friday saw guests treated to a starter of twice baked truffle soufflé, warm broad bean salad, sun-dried cherry tomatoes and soft herbs; followed by a main course of breast of Aylesbury duck, preserved cherries, broad beans and fondant potato tower. The meal was finished off with a vanilla sponge topped with poached rhubarb, vanilla cream and a dark chocolate crisp.
Old Billingsgate Gala Dinner
The grand finale to the conference saw 900 guests attend a sell-out gala dinner on Saturday at Old Billingsgate where guests were treated to a drinks reception accompanied with tandoori cured salmon with creamed goats’ cheese on black onion seed oat cake canapés before sitting down to a starter of roast asparagus bavarois, smoked quails egg, spinach foam. This was followed by a main meal of rump of Welsh spring lamb, warm “seasoned” vegetable salad, minted pea velouté to pour.
Sarah Lawrence, Project Manager for MCI said, “Seasoned Events have a long standing relationship with MCI and were selected for their creative flair and professional approach to events”.
