Langley’s No.8 gin taking the Southwest by storm

By James Russell: Langley’s No.8 gin taking the Southwest by storm

May 17, 2013

Langley’s No.8 has partnered with leading independent group the Delicious Dining Group to list its new super premium gin in 14 of Hampshire, Wiltshire and Dorset’s finest bars, restaurants and hotels.

The Delicious Dining Group’s restaurants include: Banana Wharf, Grand Café, The Cromwell Arms,  Ennio’s, Puccini’s, Yuzu Lounge, Salisbury Seafood & Steakhouse, Ennio’s Boutique Hotel, The Cromwell Arms Country Rooms, Milford Hall Hotel, Brookfield Hotel and the New Forest Lodge.

Set to shake up the Southwest’s gin scene, Langley’s No.8 will be in more than 20 establishments in the Southwest of England by the end of the month. Three new listings in the Christchurch, Dorset area include The Jetty Restaurant at the Harbour Hotel, The Kings Hotel and the Captain’s Club Hotel.

Mark Dawkins, Director at Charter Brands Ltd said, “We’re thrilled that Langley’s No.8 will now be available in all of the Delicious Dining Group’s establishments. With an enviable reputation for fine food and superb surroundings, Delicious Dining Group’s restaurants, bars and hotels provide the perfect environment in which to showcase our new super-premium gin. Developed specifically for the sophisticated and discerning gentleman, we’re confident that Langley’s No.8 will prove popular for anyone looking to relax and unwind with the ultimate G&T or our signature Gentleman’s Martini.”

Handcrafted in small batches, after a single distillation in ‘Constance’ the smallest copper pot still that we could use , (named “Connie” after the Master Distiller’s late mother), 8 carefully selected secret botanicals are blended with 100% English grain spirit, of the best quality, to deliver a smooth, lingering and robust flavour profile. ABV 41.7%

Traditional flavours of spicy juniper, aromatic coriander and zesty citrus harmoniously complement each other for a marriage of flavours that dance on the tongue to create an enticingly pleasing drying length on the palate as it is savoured.

Langley’s No.8 is available for purchase from The Drink Shop (www.thedrinkshop.com), Master of Malt, and Drinkfinder.co.uk.
