Kudos, part of the Crown Group, has secured a five year contract worth over £3million to supply catering, hospitality and event marketing services at MediaCityUK, in Salford, a development owned by The Peel Group, which is the new home for the BBC, ITV, Coronation Street, SIS and the University of Salford.
Along with the 80 businesses that are already part of the community at MCUK, there are also 378 apartments and the development is becoming a leading international hub for the creative and digital sectors, as well as a vibrant destination to work, live and socialise.
Marketing and delivery of events
This prestigious contract awarded to Kudos will extend beyond catering and hospitality to include the marketing and delivery of events in a unique mezzanine area in the ‘Open Centre’ area of the development. The space looks out over the Green and Stage that make up the piazza at the heart of MediaCityUK with views across the Canal, Lowry Mall and even Old Trafford in the background.
Kudos will also be supporting MediaCityUK in delivering catering at the numerous large scale events held in the piazza and across MCUK, developing and delivering bespoke catering offers dependent on the demographic, scale and requirements of each individual event.
The final and most exciting element of the contract will be opening a new café that will alongside the likes of Costa, Prezzo and Wagamama, service the sites daily population of thousands. Kudos will be installing and developing their ‘feed’ brand to offer a range of fresh, simple and honest, hot and cold dishes – perfect for the sites’ busy working population.
