Fabulous Feasts has been accepted as the sole public caterer at Lord’s Cricket Ground for the next three years.
The contract starts with the first test match on 16 May between England and New Zealand, when Fabulous Feasts takes over the Lord’s Food Village, serving food at every major fixture throughout the summer.
8 new food outlets
Fabulous Feasts has produced eight new food outlets to install at Lord’s, serving everything from flame-grilled British burgers and juicy American-style hot dogs loaded with tasty toppings, to spicy and authentic curries complete with crispy poppadom shards.
There will also be a traditional beer-battered fish & chip stall, and a selection of hot, wholesome and homemade pies, as well as marinated chicken on a bed of summer salad, fresh baps crammed full of pulled British meats and chargrilled veggies, and Mexican-style burritos stuffed with delicious spices.
Across the board, fresh, local ingredients will be used wherever possible to make sure that quality is second to none – guaranteeing spectators loads of choice and the most delicious food!
Jamie Oliver commented:
“I’m thrilled that Fab Feasts have won the contract for Lord’s – it’s a real honour. Lord’s is such a historic place and I can’t wait for people to see what we’ve got planned. It’s going to be match-day food like you’d never expect; we’re talking big flavour, lots of choice, and dishes that are guaranteed to put a big smile on your face. I believe we can make people enjoy their day out even more.”
And Jon Robinson, Assistant Secretary (Marketing & Catering) at the MCC said:
“MCC is delighted to be working in partnership with Jamie Oliver’s Fabulous Feasts, in a deal which will set the benchmark for public catering. Lord’s Cricket Ground is renowned for the quality of its food, and this new venture will enhance this reputation further by offering quality fast food at competitive prices.”
