CBRE expands with addition of TRI Hospitality

By James Russell: CBRE expands with addition of TRI Hospitality

May 16, 2013

CBRE has announced that TRI Hospitality Consulting (“TRI”), one of Europe’s leading hotel consultancy practices, is joining CBRE Hotels EMEA, further strengthening its consultancy practice.

TRI’s team, which is led by the highly respected Jonathan Langston and David Bailey, will work alongside Graham Windle and the existing CBRE consultancy practice, and this move will significantly extend CBRE Hotels’ capabilities in professional services, investment advisory, feasibility studies and operational asset management.

CBRE Hotels advises some of the world’s leading investors, lenders, developers and operators of hospitality assets providing advice on the sale, valuation, financing, development and asset management of hotels. The expansion of its consultancy practice follows the recently announced strategic appointments of Dominic Murray (Senior Director), Paul Collins (Head of Brokerage UK & Ireland) and Catherine Rawanduzi (Head of Hotels, France).

Commenting, Derek Gammage, Managing Director, CBRE Hotels EMEA said:

“By incorporating TRI’s highly regarded UK consultancy practice into our network, our ability to offer a fully integrated service to clients has been further strengthened. Having enjoyed a close working relationship with TRI for a number of years, this move to acquire the knowledge and expertise of the group is a key step towards offering an improved service to new and existing clients.

“Our ability to strategically expand our hotels business in the current environment reflects the strength of our offering as well as CBRE’s wider commitment to this important sector. I am thrilled to have the team on board.”

Jonathan Langston of TRI, added:

“As a team we are delighted to be joining CBRE Hotels. Both firms have similar cultural values that emphasize exceptional client care. Together, we have a clear ambition for further growth and are well positioned to respond to the dynamics of this fast-moving market. We all look forward to playing a key role in the future success of CBRE Hotels.”
