Meiko UK is offering an upgrade to the premium series FV40.2G-GiO machine with integral reverse osmosis on all orders for its ECO530/EW10 front loading glass or dishwasher with integral water softener.
Offered at no additional cost during June and July, this reflects an incredible saving in the region of 30% on the Premium series machine list price.
Meiko is also offering during the same period to upgrade any DV80.2GiO to the higher throughput capacity DV125.2GiO, again without additional cost. It will provide a selection of the larger 600mm x 500mm washing baskets along with the basic machine supply package.
For the higher volume catering establishment where a traditional 60 basket an hour machine is on the very limit of the customer’s needs, the additional plate washing capacity increases by approximately 22% with the introduction of the DV125.2GiO.

Since the introduction of integral reverse osmosis across the full range of Meiko front loading and pass through glass, dish and utensil washing machines in 2011, in excess of 2,500 machines have been placed into the market place and Meiko UK Sales Director Nick Falco believes that the time is right to introduce reverse osmosis technology machines to a broader marketplace.
“Reverse osmosis technology removes the need for integral or cabinet type water softening, which up until now has been the most commonly used method for removing the calcium that is found in mains water supplies within various geographical locations in the UK,” states Falco.
This could spell the end for traditional water softening methods and the service bills that are associated with their ownership, primarily due to the operators not keeping the salt container topped-up, which results in limescale build-up within a very short period of time, both on the heating elements and within the boiler. Increased energy costs are also one of the main downsides of limescale contamination.
