In June 2012, The Feathers Hotel won the Guinness World Record for the world’s largest gin collection: 174 gins currently line the bar of the hotel, but the collection can always get bigger!
The Challenge
Find a new, original gin to add to the extensive collection.
Put your discovery on our Facebook page or Tweet a picture with the hashtag #FeathersGinFind and The Feathers will let you know if you’ve found the elusive gin they’’re seeking. If it’s the one, simply bring in the bottle to the hotel and The Feathers will give you a free meal for two worth £80 to celebrate!
The Catch
The gin has to be commercially available and a premium brand – no backyard brews or supermarket offerings, please! It can be from anywhere in the world, as some of their current gins are from far-flung locations such as Slovakia and Japan, and the bottle must be sealed. You must warn the hotel in advance of your arrival as they want to prepare for this momentous occasion!
The Conditions
Participants must be 18 years old, as there’s no point if you aren’t allowed to have a taste! Only one entry is allowed per person, and the entrant cannot be employed or related to an employee of The Feathers Hotel. The awarded voucher cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer.
The Gin Experience
The Feathers Hotel, a member of Pride of Britain Hotels, is an inviting country retreat that combines historic charm with a fun personality. The hotel has the largest collection of gins in the world. Guests can choose “The Gin Experience”, a carefully devised menu incorporating specifically chosen gins throughout the courses – for example, in a “Gin & Tonic Jelly”.
