Eating in a restaurant for the first time is a milestone in any child’s life. Understanding table manners, enjoying great food and absorbing the social atmosphere are important steps on the road to adulthood. Which is why the Bingham restaurant and hotel in Richmond upon Thames has launched a special three-course Children’s Menu.
The menu has been devised by the Bingham’s Head Chef and Father of two, Shay Cooper, and is designed to get children interested in food and eating out. The menu gives youngster the chance to choose a starter, main course and a pudding. Dishes include: Pea Risotto, Atlantic Cod and Vanilla Rice Pudding.
Shay Cooper said: “It’s important to get children interested in food from an early age. We created a menu that would give them a choice, and allow them to expand their palates and experience of food. Eating in a restaurant is a wonderful experience and at the Bingham we want people to enjoy that from a young age!”
The Children’s Menu is priced at £20 per child under the age of 12.
The Bingham also offers a Children’s Afternoon Tea, priced at £12.50 per child under the age of 12.
The Bingham restaurant currently boasts 3AA rosettes, and a score of 6 in the Good Food Guide 2013.
