“Every year the CEDA board chooses an individual who has more than made their mark on the industry,” said CEDA, “and this year Bill Downie, Managing Director of Meiko UK received the “This is your life” treatment.
Bill Downie was presented with the award by Nick Howe, managing director of London-based catering equipment distributor Court Catering Equipment and Jack Sharkey, CEDA Chairman and Joint MD of Lancashire based Vision Commercial Kitchens. They paid tribute to the “committed supporter of CEDA” and the service and support Bill Downie has given the industry since founding Meiko UK in 1994.
Meiko also won the Outstanding Customer Service award, chosen by CEDA members themselves for suppliers ‘that regularly delivered the most outstanding customer service.’
