STR Global reports that the hotel development pipeline for the UK shows major expected room growth for:
Manchester: reported the largest expected room growth at +22.7 percent if all 3,061 rooms in the market’s total active pipeline open.
Birmingham +17.5 percent with 1,702 rooms
London, U.K. +14.1 percent with 16,392 rooms
The total Europe hotel development pipeline comprises 818 hotels totalling 135,115 rooms, according to the March 2013 STR Global Construction Pipeline Report. The total active pipeline data includes projects in the In Construction, Final Planning and Planning stages but does not include projects in the Pre-Planning stage.
