The award-winning Cairn Lodge & Hotel in Auchterarder has appointed Lionel Foucart as General Manager.
Originally from Angers in France, Lionel has spent the last 15 years working in the hospitality industry in Scotland. He was Assistant Restaurant Manager at the Hilton Dunblane Hydro, spent two very successful years as Manager of the Queen’s Hotel in Bridge of Allan and was Restaurant & Events Manager at the Macdonald Forest Hills Resort in Kinloch Ard.
Expertise in food and beverage operations
Lionel then found success with his L’Angevine Restaurant in Stirling, awarded ‘Best Restaurant in Stirlingshire’ by the Sunday Times, which he owned for five years; and most recently as Owner of the Frog n’ Thistle restaurant in Stirlingshire.
Lionel has particular expertise in food and beverage operations, having gained a National Diploma in Catering, as a Barman and Sommelier at catering college in Angers.
Lionel said: “I am delighted to have been appointed as General Manager of The Cairn Lodge & Hotel. It’s a fantastic place offering locals and visitors a new dimension in accommodation and dining in the area, and it has already established a name for offering quality, value and outstanding service.
