Not all hotels seek rock bands as guests – there have been a few ‘horror’ stories over the years…
However, plugged-in guitars, tangy chords and hordes of besotted screaming groupies are a few of the things you can expect to see and hear outside one of the UK ibis hotels that are hosting Lawson during their current Chapman Square Tour.
Lawson have been a big hit and often ranked at the top of UK album-sales charts since 2010. They have supported Westlife, The Wanted and Jessie J, to name but a few, and are now touring the UK and will be staying in a few lucky ibis hotels.
In exchange, Lawson gave ibis hotels 20 meet and greet tickets to give away for their sold out Chapman Square Tour. These privileged tickets allowed backstage VIP access for the fans to the meet the band.
Lawson are currently posting updates about ibis on Facebook and Twitter (#ibis or #Lawsonibis), to tell their fans what they think about ibis. Lead singer Andy Brown even tweeted, “Tell ya what these ibis hotels are class!!! Lovely beds!”
An intimate gig at the ibis London Blackfriars
The luckiest fans have already taken part in the contest on the dedicated ibis Facebook page and music magazines to win tickets to the band’s secret acoustic performance at the ibis London Blackfriars on Sunday 3 March. Everyone had an amazing time with many fans posting videos of the intimate concert on Youtube.
Will staff at ibis hotels get chances to sing along with Lawson during their tour…?
