51 Buckingham Gate, Taj Suites and Residences has appointed new General Manager Mr. Digvijay Singh with effect from 13 February 2013.  Mr. Singh will replace Mr. Prabhat Verma, who will take up a new position as Chief Operating Officer of Gateway Hotel Division of the Taj Group.

Digvijay Singh has had a notable 18-year career with the Taj group.  He has been the General Manager of multi-award-winning The Taj Mahal Hotel, New Delhi since April 2008 and, prior to this, was the General Manager of the iconic Taj Lake Palace, Udaipur.  He has also trained at some of the most renowned hotels worldwide, including Mandarin Oriental – Bangkok, The Peninsula – Hong Kong, Raffles – Singapore, and Four Seasons – Hong Kong.

Mr. Singh is not only a dedicated General Manager, but also an active member of the Institute of Hotel Management, Chennai, India and is involved in management development programmes with the University of Michigan, Indian Institute of Management at Hyderabad, and Indian Institute of Management at Bangalore.

A strong believer in creating and maintaining the highest standards of hotel business, the guest will always be his priority.
