The Rezidor Hotel Group, one of the world’s fastest growing hotel companies and a member of the Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group, has promoted Richard Moore to Area Vice President of all brands in the UK & Ireland.
In his new role, Richard is responsible for all 48 properties in Rezidor’s UK & Ireland area portfolio across the Hotel Missoni, Park Inn by Radisson and Radisson Blu brands.
Richard joined Carlson Rezidor in November 2011 as Area Vice President Park Inn by Radisson in the UK, and was quickly given the additional responsibility for the brand in Ireland and the Nordics in January 2012.
Improvement and development programme
During his time with the company, Richard has forged ahead with a vast improvement and development programme within the Park Inn by Radisson UK portfolio, encompassing almost all elements of the business. From product quality, operations and service delivery, to maintenance and investment, personnel development, owner relations and regional support structure; large-scale changes and development can be seen across the board. This programme of activity has seen significant investment in a number of properties and an overhaul of service standards, positively impacting overall guest satisfaction and RGI performance in a number of properties over the last year.
Richard, who is British, has twenty five years international hotel management experience. Having spent the majority of his career with the Queens Moat House Group, where he held positions including Managing Director for Germany and subsequently the United Kingdom, Richard joined CBRE Hotels as Director of Hotel Consultancy Services in the United Kingdom.
As part of his new role, Richard will focus on: optimizing the positioning of Carlson Rezidor’s growing UK and Ireland portfolio, enforcing and enhancing product and service quality whist at the same time, increasing the profitability of the hotels in the region. Richard is based at Rezidor’s UK regional office in Manchester, and will report directly to Olivier Harnisch, Rezdor’s EVP and Chief Operating Officer.
Philip Mahoney to Vice President Food and Beverage
Meanwhile, Philip Mahoney, previously Area Vice President Hotel Missoni and Radisson Blu Uk & Ireland, has been promoted to Vice President Food and Beverage for Rezidor and will be based at the Brussels Head Office. Food and Beverage is a significant contributor to the group’s revenues and is of strategic importance both in terms of profitability, brand image and guest satisfaction. With his passion for food and beverage, combined with his strong analytical skills and leadership ability, Philip brings a strong driving force to this area of the business.
