Richie Long, winner of the Golden Keys Concierge of the Year 2011, has been appointed as Head Concierge at No.11 Cadogan Gardens. Located in Knightsbridge, the hotel is a member of Small Luxury Hotels of the World.
Richie started his career in hospitality fifteen years ago as a luggage porter at the Grafton Hotel in London. His next role was a trainee concierge under the Head Concierge at The Cadogan, where he quickly progressed to the position of Assistant Head Concierge which he held for over 10 years.
The position of Concierge remains important to hotels and their guests. Though people are turning to modern technology such as iPad’s, iPhones and the Internet, such technology cannot secure a table at a top restaurant when it is full – whereas Ritchie certainly can!
