An iconic brand is set to expand after securing a new seven figure financial package
Joule’s Brewery in Market Drayton is reported to have secured £1 million funding from The Co-operative Bank to continue its growth by acquiring up to a further nine public houses. The brewery estate currently operates across Staffordshire, Shropshire, Cheshire and Wales.
Joule’s beer was first brewed in Staffordshire in 1780 but was discontinued in 1974 and only revived in 2010 when a new brewery was built in Market Drayton – with funding from The Co-operative Bank.
Since then, it has successfully grown its estate to 17 pubs – and will now be able to substantially accelerate its growth through acquisitions.
Joule’s recently won the CAMRA and English Heritage National Pub Design Award for its Red Lion Tap House in Market Drayton.
