Fresh Montgomery, organiser of Hotelympia, has announced a completely new look and rebrand for the UK’s most comprehensive event for the hospitality industry. Hotelympia will now take place in a new month and feature a new single entrance layout when it returns to London’s ExCeL, April 28th – 1st May 2014. Completing the evolution, the revitalised show also welcomes the highly respected James Tanner as Chef Director for its world class culinary competition, Salon Culinaire.
4 days, one hall
2014 will see the entire event in a new four day format and be situated in one extended hall making it even easier for visitors to navigate the attractions without the disruption of the central boulevard, while new, dedicated networking hubs will make the Hotelympia show-floor the UK’s biggest-ever hotbed of hospitality business activity.
Salon Culinaire returns, encompassing Live Theatre classes, fine dining experience, La Parade de Chefs, and Salon Display – showcasing beautiful, hand-crafted works in fat, chocolate, marzipan and other foodstuffs. Each display entry will be situated down the central aisle, giving show visitors a tantalizing glimpse of the calibre of skill on show.
Toby Wand, Managing Director at Fresh Montgomery comments:
“With a brand new look and a new date in the calendar, Hotelympia 2014 is set to unite the very best of Catering Equipment, Food & Drink, Tabletop, Design and Technology, plus Salon Culinaire, under one roof.
“Also, with a continued focus on sustainability, we will be launching a new co-located event on waste management solutions in the hospitality
environment, titled ‘Waste Works’.
“The changes to the event overall have been implemented to further improve the experience for exhibitors and visitors alike, and encourage greater dwell times, while moving to a date later in the year will mean we can maximise the longer days to full business effect.”
James Tanner, Chef Director for Salon Culinaire
Fresh Montgomery is also set to welcome the highly respected chef and industry personality, James Tanner, to the position of Chef Director for Salon Culinaire. James takes the helm from the outgoing Peter Griffiths MBE, and will work alongside the dedicated Fresh Montgomery team to continue Peter’s tireless work overseeing some of the industry’s most celebrated chefs competing at Salon throughout his 25 years as Director.
As with all Fresh Montgomery shows Hotelympia 2014 will be run to the Sustainable Event Management Standard, ISO 20121, with each operational element complicit within criteria as laid down by the standard.
