Apparently, Monday 21 January is set to be the most depressing day of the year – ‘Blue Monday’ – so Fuller’s has decided to help its pub customers survive the gloom by distributing a book of some of the favourite jokes of employees at the London brewery.
Anyone feeling a little down should head for their nearest Fuller’s pub where the staff will be on hand to dispense a perfectly-timed gag for free, as well as a perfectly-poured pint of London Pride (not for free!).
Thumbing through the ‘Beat Blue Monday’ joke book, stand-up comic (and local at Fuller’s pub The Turk’s Head, Twickenham), Milton Jones said:
“This joke book will help you through Blue Monday. In fact, I laughed so much I spilled my beer, so for me it will be brown-slightly-damp-feeling-down-my trousers-Monday.”
