It’s official – Wetherspoon has the best pub loos across the UK. It swept the board in the pubs and wine bars category of the Loo of the Year Awards 2012, being named as the national category award winner in England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.
H & C News congratulates Wetherspoon: if the loos at The Prestwick Pioneer (pictured above) are typical, then Wetherspoon is setting standards that the public and its customers certainly appreciate – and which others should emulate.
The four pubs that won the individual titles were; The Bell (Amesbury), The Sir Samuel Romilly (Barry), The Prestwick Pioneer (Prestwick) and The Ice Wharf (Londonderry).
Wetherspoon’s chief executive, John Hutson, said:
“We are delighted with the awards.
“Our staff maintain their pub toilets to the highest standards at all times and this is reflected in the judges inspections.
“We will continue to provide our customers with the best loos at all times.”
