Bespoke Hotels takes over Oxford Hotels and Inns

By James Russell: Bespoke Hotels takes over Oxford Hotels and Inns

December 5, 2012

Bespoke Hotels has taken over Oxford Hotels and Inns, expanding its portfolio of boutique hotels to 97 properties worldwide.

The group takes on the management of 34 additional hotels across the British Isles, which include a mix of luxury, four and three star properties ranging from Suffolk to Glasgow, Cornwall to Inverness.

These properties will join Bespoke’s existing sub-brands Beloved, which features a collection of 4 star deluxe hotels and Befriend, a selection of 3 star value-for-money options.

Flagship hotels that will join the group include the Carnoustie Golf Hotel and Elemis Spa, host to The Open Championship 2007 and The Women’s British Open 2011, and The Lugger Hotel in Truro, Cornwall, voted by the Sunday Times as the best new seaside hotel in the world.

Another notable addition is the award-winning Craigellachie Hotel with its AA Rosette restaurant and world-renowned Quaich Bar, boasting 700 different Single Malt Scotch Whiskies in the heart of Speyside, Scotland’s Malt Whisky Country.

Haydn Fentum, CEO of Bespoke Hotels, said:

“We are delighted to welcome Oxford Hotels and Inns’ fine collection of properties to the Bespoke Hotel Group in the UK. From beautiful country pubs and inns to luxury hotels and character properties throughout England and Scotland, each has its own story to tell and we will build on their individuality to deliver great value for money and service for our guests.”

Robin Sheppard, Chairman of Bespoke Hotels, added:

“Bespoke Hotels is delighted to announce the takeover of Oxford Hotels and Inns. This expansion of our portfolio comes at a very exciting time and we look forward earnestly to working with the many talented staff who are very busy preparing for the festive season at each of their hotels.”
